If Only

If only I can know

There is an afterlife

Then I shall know she is

And that she is okay

Not just okay but loved

Protected from all harm

Tucked inside the sunlight

Held close to His bosom

Even if no more mine

Never for me to see

At least she is alive

From death she is now free
