Thank you for your comment. Home is an elaboration of the soul. A place, a time, a thought, a sound, really anything may excite the soul’s awareness of herself. When this happens, then we are at home regardless of how far or near we may be to our literal abode. The more we may experience this elaboration of soul anywhere or any time the more we are joyful. Divine joy is God encountering Himself eternally. This is the end for which we joy seekers strive. We never get there, of course, since we are not God; but the fact of striving in that direction is itself a joy that compounds on itself. Self-realization as such is forever a new experience. I suspect this is part of what the New Testament attests when stating that one must be like a child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, for indeed self-realization is always new and exciting in a child’s wonderment.
For one who has had to stay away from home, the joy of coming back is like the light of self realisation. Thank for a great post. G’day mate
