Pond Leaf Haikus

Sing me the sweet word

Sunlight dancing on my leaf

Deaf and blind cricket.

She cups the still pond

Barefoot heaving bosom grin

Algae buttered rum.

Kissing raindrops pad

Dappled dew along the banks

She fastens her skirt.

A boy and his frog

Ribbit-Ribbit in his pants

Marching on to war.

Green leaf in the morn

Sackcloth and ashes at night

Dead ponds sing sad tales.
