Silhouette Run Haikus

I am a runner

Speak softly but carry a

Imagine big stick.

Many paths ahead

Only one inside your heart

Stop and smell roses.

I burn laurel wreaths

She feeds me many olives

The wind knocks up leaves.

Run with your best friend

Little paws leave no footsteps

Flowers bloom all night.

Forever track time

Knickerbockers and sweat shoes

Runners come and go.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment. Beauty is what it is, but it is also an expression of how words may have touched us. I am so happy my words for a moment were able to touch you in such a manner.

    2. Thank you so much for the comment. When our eyes are opened, beauty is everywhere. When our eyes are shut, we see only the dreams we keep in us. Hopefully, in those instances, we choose to keep the more beautiful ones with us.
